Pet Photography – the folding stuff…

You are making an investment when you hire a professional photographer.  As the years go by the images you come away with from Sydney Pet Photos’ studio will become more and more valuable to you.  You are not only using John Dowling for a few hours to take some magical photographs of your pet but John will be acting as your advisor on planning the whole shoot and as your consultant afterwards when you choose which images and products fit your needs specifically.  And that could be anything from an 8 x 10 framed print to a leather bound coffee table album for your front room.

A one hour shooting session will set you back $125.00 which includes one 8″ x 12″ and one 12″ x 18″ mounted and matted prints.  Prior to the shoot we will have either met personally or over the phone (Skype). It’s during that meeting that I will have explained all the preparations needed prior to the shoot as well as discussing exactly what you are looking for in the way of prints, gifts etc.   About a week after the session we will meet again to review a selection of processed and retouched images.  This meeting takes about an hour and it is here that you can pick and choose your favourite images.

Images are printed by a professional lab in Australia. The images are printed on Kodak Supra Endura digital paper, which is neither a glossy nor matt surface. LUSTRE is a professional surface with a slight texture that reduces the amount of fingerprints that can show on the finished image. This is a traditional silver halide photographic paper, not an ink-jet print.

Kodak Professional Endura METALLIC VC Digital Paper provides a distinctive eye-catching METALLIC pearl-like finish. This highly desired professional finish is the preferred choice for acrylic mounting.

Images printed on canvas have three options:

  • “Canvas only” – your image is printed without stretching of any kind. This allows you to display your own innovative style or have your local framer stretch the canvas for you.
  • “Canvas stretched” – your image is printed to canvas, laminated and stretched around hard wood stretcher bars, ready to hang.
  • “Canvas gallery wrap” – your image is printed to canvas, laminated and stretched around hard wood stretcher bars, ready to hang. The edges of the wrap are the outside two inches of the image.

Fine Art Paper is a 210gsm Cotton Rag Archival art paper and will give your photographs an old world warmth and a classic museum quality feel. It is printed on a thicker more substantial textured paper combined with matte pigmented dyes. Images are printed with a minimum of one inch of unprinted material on all four sides.
